Myles Langstone is the Welsh Conservative Candidate for Gower for the upcoming Senedd elections in May 2021.
Currently, Myles is the local County Councillor for Oystermouth Ward on Swansea Council, elected in May 2017 and serves as the Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group.
Myles, who is from the Mumbles area, is passionate about Gower reaching its full potential and becoming an even better place to live, work and visit.
Myles lists education, health and supporting the local economy as his priorities. This includes securing more money for local schools, supporting the growth of local businesses, job creation and preventing any increases in income tax by Welsh Government.
As a Councillor, he holds regular advice surgeries so that he can stay up to date with the issues that matter to residents and has been working on a range of different matters and community projects to date. Some of the projects Myles has delivered in his role as a Councillor include building a brand-new children's play area for Underhill Park and helping local businesses through establishing the Independent Food & Drinks area at Southend Gardens.
Prior to becoming a Councillor, Myles graduated from Swansea University with a Bachelor's degree in History and Politics and a Master's degree in International Relations. Following the 2015 General Election, he worked for two years as a Parliamentary Assistant to Byron Davies MP based in the Constituency Office.
Myles is also the Conservative Council Group spokesperson for Education, Transport & Future Generations.
