Brigitte Rowlands is the County Councillor for the Mawr ward of Swansea, which encompasses the areas of Craig Cefn Parc, Rhydypandy, Salem, Felindre, Cwmgerdinen & Garnswllt. Mawr is a predominantly rural ward, having a signifacant amount of welsh speakers in the area.
Brigitte was elected to office in May 2017 and her aims are to maintain and improve Mawr as an enjoyable place to live and visit. Brigitte holds regular advice surgeries across the ward and works hard to fulfil her role to benefit the communities she represents.
Outside of politics, Brigitte lives and works on a hill farm in the far north of Swansea with her family. She also serves as the secretary of West Glamorgan Commoners Association and has held this position since 1996. Brigitte enjoys rural life and understands the need to promote the importance of agriculture and the natural environment.
